PENCIL
Linkage pencil actualizes resource-saving by optimizing the traditional Chinese mortise and tenon joint structure of one end of the traditional pencil, which help us save more resource and reduce contamination.
Background

In many rural areas of developing countries, students have no enough budgets to buy a pencil for writing. However, we may easily throw away a pencil head when it is not suitable for writing. How can we help rural area students better for writing and reduce our waste of pencils in our daily writing activities?

How it works

We usually throw away the stump of a pencil, because it is too short to hold. This design is aimed to solve this problem by applying the mortise and tenon joint structure (A concave-convex connection mode of timber components in the ancient architecture) to the traditional pencil. This structure can tightly connect two pencils together. Taking advantage of the characteristics of hexagon structure, we can avoid the potential risk in the usage and can also make the process much easier.
